Anonymous Usage Statistics
Flowmodoro is local-first: your sessions and settings stay on your device. To know how many people use the app, it sends one small anonymous ping a day. This page shows exactly what that ping contains, what our server keeps, and how to turn it off.
Effective date: October 21, 2026
Live numbers
Built only from the aggregates described below. Groups smaller than 5 are folded into “Other”, and Pro is shown only as a rounded share.

The exact payload
This is the whole request body. Nothing else is attached.
{
"p_app_version": "1.0.0",
"p_platform": "android",
"p_tier": "free",
"p_language": "es",
"p_install_id": "3f2a9c1e-7b4d-4e8a-9f61-2c5d8e0b7a14"
} When it is sent
- At most once a day, a few seconds after the app opens or comes back to the foreground.
- Never before you have seen the one-time notice in the app, which also lets you turn the install ID off before the first ping.
- Never from development builds or builds without a server configured.
- One attempt only: if it fails, it is dropped. Nothing is queued, retried, or stored for later.
- Sent with the app's public key only, never with your account's sign-in token.
What our server keeps
Two tables. Days use the server clock (UTC).
telemetry_daily_counts
Anonymous counters. Each ping adds one to the row for its combination of values; there is no row per device and no identifier.
-
day - Day of the ping
-
app_version - App version
-
platform - ios, android, or web
-
tier - free or pro
-
language - Language only
-
count - How many pings had these values that day
telemetry_active_days
Only when the install ID is on. One row per install ID and active day, deleted after 13 months.
-
install_id - The random install ID
-
day - Day of the ping
-
tier - free or pro
What is never sent
- Your sessions, statistics, session names, or tags
- Your settings or timer state
- Your account, email, or anything that links the ping to them
- Your IP address, device model, or advertising identifiers
- Crash reports, screens you visit, or what you tap
How to turn it off
- Turn off Settings → Data → Anonymous Usage Stats. The install ID is deleted from your device and is no longer sent; turning it back on creates a new, unrelated ID.
- Clearing local data from Settings also deletes the install ID.
- The anonymous daily counter has no identifier and stays on.
